Hospital to hospital

A stroke in Germany. Home, in a rehabilitation hospital.

This is what a transfer looks like when the operator owns both the ambulance and the hospital at the end of the road.

Hospital, GermanySfântul Anton, Prahova

  1. The call

The family calls dispatch. A physician takes the case and speaks directly with the hospital in Germany.

  2. Assessment and paperwork

We decide whether the patient can travel by ICU ambulance or with a flight escort, and prepare the discharge and transfer documents.

  3. The journey

An emergency or ICU crew stays with the patient all the way, with continuous monitoring and no vehicle changes.

  4. Admission

The patient is admitted directly to Sfântul Anton Rehabilitation Hospital in Păulești, or to the hospital the family chooses, anywhere in Romania.

Duration and cost depend on the patient’s condition and the distance. You get them after the medical assessment, not from a form.

How we work, on camera

The fleet, the equipment and the hospital, filmed

We show rather than tell: a tour of the Păulești complex filmed by Observatorul Prahovean, and our own clips from the garage.

Who we are

Local medical centre, international reach

A medical centre with over three decades of history in Prahova — 350 employees, a 51-ambulance fleet and its own private hospital — with 24/7 dispatch, emergency and ICU crews, and experience across European and Asian routes. We choose the right modality for the case — not necessarily the most expensive one.

  • Bed-to-bed transfer with hospital-to-hospital coordination
  • Ambulance types A/B/C, including mobile intensive care
  • Commercial-flight medical escort when the patient is fit to fly
  • Documentation support for insurers and assistance companies

Experience lets us organise departure within hours of the first call, depending on case severity.

Three paths, one medical assessment

How it works

Why Mediurg

An operator with a hospital, not a middleman

  • Our own rehabilitation hospital

Sfântul Anton in Păulești is part of Mediurg and was opened to admit our own patients. The journey can end with us, not on a waiting list.

  • Prahova’s school of emergency medicine

Our crews are trained in-house, for three decades. Doctors and nurses trained at Mediurg now work in every hospital in the county, including the county emergency department.

  • Roots, not a brokerage desk

A company led by a physician who refused to leave the country in the 1990s and built 51 ambulances, clinics and a hospital here. The people who bring you home stayed home.
