Personal data

Privacy policy

This page explains what happens to the data you send us by phone, on WhatsApp or by email. It is written to be read, not to be ticked off.

Last updated: 31 July 2026.

Please do not send medical files or detailed clinical data at first contact. For the first step we only need your contact details and a short description of the situation. Once we have spoken, we will point you to a suitable channel for medical documents.

1. Who processes the data

The data controller is Centrul Medical MEDIURG (MEDIURG Medical Centre), Strada Independenței nr. 9, Păuleștii Noi, Prahova, Romania. The site mediurginternational.ro is operated by the same entity under the trade name Mediurg International.

  • Company registration details:[TO BE COMPLETED: VAT/company ID and trade register number]
  • Health authorisation for medical transport:[TO BE COMPLETED: number and date of the authorisation issued by DSP Prahova]
  • Email: office@mediurg.ro
  • Phone: 0766 227 535 (24/7)
  • Data protection officer (DPO):[TO BE COMPLETED: name and email if a DPO has been appointed; delete this line if there is none]

2. What data we collect

When you call, message us on WhatsApp or email us, we process the data needed to assess the case:

  • your name and contact details (phone, email);
  • the town or hospital where the patient is;
  • the intended destination;
  • the short description of the situation, as you share it with us.

You may share information about the patient’s health on your own initiative. At first contact we recommend keeping to the essentials — where the patient is and where they should arrive; clinical details are then discussed with the coordinating physician. We use such information solely to answer your request and delete it on request.

On WhatsApp the message also passes through the service provider (Meta), under its own terms — the channel is your choice; the alternatives are a phone call or email.

The site uses no advertising cookies and builds no user profiles. For traffic statistics we may usePlausible Analytics — a cookieless tool that counts visits in aggregate, does not identify individual visitors and does not follow the same person across sites. When it is switched on, it appears in the list under point 5.[TO BE COMPLETED: if Google Analytics is switched on, this page must be updated and the site needs a cookie consent mechanism.]

3. Why we use the data

  • so a coordinating physician can assess the request and reply to you;
  • so we can prepare a concrete transport proposal — route, crew level, estimated cost;
  • so we can organise and document the mission, if you continue with us;
  • so we can talk to the hospital or the insurer, when you ask us to.

We do not use this data for marketing, we do not sell it and we do not pass it on for any other purpose.

4. Legal basis

We process contact details and route information in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract — Article 6(1)(b) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). In plain terms: you ask us for an assessment and a quote, and the data is strictly what we need in order to give them to you.

If the mission goes ahead, processing continues for the performance of the contract and, for invoices and supporting documents, on the basis of our legal obligations — Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

[TO BE COMPLETED: the basis applying to health data received spontaneously at first contact — to be settled with the lawyer or DPO in relation to Article 9 GDPR.]

5. Who else sees the data

  • WhatsApp (Meta) — only if you choose that channel; messages pass through the provider’s infrastructure under its own terms.
  • The site’s hosting provider, which handles the technical requests to the server:[TO BE COMPLETED: provider name — on the current setup, Cloudflare].
  • Plausible Analytics — the traffic statistics provider, when switched on. It receives no form data and sets no cookies.[TO BE COMPLETED: on activation, confirm the provider’s full legal name and hosting location from the data processing agreement.]
  • The Mediurg International medical and coordination team, on a need-to-know basis.
  • Partners actually involved in an accepted mission (hospitals, partner crews, flight operators) — only the data needed for that transport.
  • The insurer or assistance company, if you ask us to communicate with them.
  • Public authorities, where the law requires us to disclose information.

If you prefer not to use WhatsApp, you can call us directly at0766 227 535 or write tooffice@mediurg.ro.

6. How long we keep the data

Requests that do not turn into a mission are kept for as long as we need them to pick up the conversation if you come back, and are then deleted.[TO BE COMPLETED: the exact period set by the controller, for example 12 months after last contact.]

For completed missions, documents relating to the contract, invoicing and medical reporting are kept for as long as the applicable legal obligations require.[TO BE COMPLETED: the concrete periods, confirmed with the accountant and the lawyer.]

7. Your rights

  • Access — to find out what data we hold about you and receive a copy.
  • Rectification — to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
  • Erasure — to have data deleted when we no longer have a legal reason to keep it.
  • Restriction — to pause processing while we check a challenge.
  • Objection — to object to processing in the cases provided for by the GDPR.
  • Portability — to receive your data in a format another system can read.

Send your request to office@mediurg.ro. We answer within one month of receipt; if the request is complex, we will tell you in advance that we need an extension.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP) —www.dataprotection.ro (opens in a new window). You may also go to court.

8. How we protect the data

The connection to the site is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to incoming messages is limited to the people handling assessment and coordination. We do not publish identifiable cases and do not discuss patient details outside the team involved in the mission.

9. Changes to this page

If we change the way we work with data — for example if we add a new contact channel — we update this page and the date at the top of it.
